Know what that means? It means incredibly good food at fancy restaurants for a (relatively) low price! Nearly all the restaurants provide three to four-course meals including dessert, but often the menu is too limited. But I'm going to a restaurant called Texas de Brazil with some friends this Thursday. From all the restaurants involved in restaurant week, this place had the best menu with a lot of variety and a decent price.
The restaurant decor looks great and the food has good reviews. Normally, the place is very expensive, and it's a high class place so we're going to spruce up, eat some good food, and have fun!
And what's really awesome, is that they have aerial wine artists in the restaurant! So cool~
Can't wait! :D
Oh yeah, and if you're curious about the restaurant, here's the link to the website.

Also, here's the restaurant week website for Texas de Brazil:

I'll make sure to upload pictures of the food when I get back!

WHY are they so good!?!?!?!?
The original song is called "Bills Bills Bills" by Destiny's Child:
At first we started out real cool,(cool)
Taking me places i ain'tnever been
But now your getting comfortable
Ain't doing those things that you did no more
Your slowly makin me pay for things
Your money should be handling
And now you ask to use my car (car)
Drive it all day and don't fill up the tank
And you have the audacity
To even come and step to me
And ask to hold some money from me
Until you get your check next week
(bridge)
You triflin',good for nothing type of brother
Silly me,why haven't I found another
A baller, when times get hard he's the one to help me out
insted of, a scrub like you who don't know what a man's about
(chorus2x)
can
you pay my bills
can you pay my telephone bills
can you pay my automo'bills
then maybe we can chill
I don't think you do
so you and me are through
now you been maxing out my card(card)
give me bad credit, buying gifts with my own ends
haven't paid the first bill
but you steady heading to the mall
going on shopping sprees
peprpetrating to your friends that you be ballin'
and then you use my cell phone(phone)
callin who ever that you think at home
and when the bill comes all of a sudden you be acting dumb
don't know where none of these calls come from
when your mamma's numbers here more than once
(bridge)
(chorus 2x)
(bridge4x)
(chorus4x)
This one's called "When I get you Alone" originally sung and written by Robert Thicke:
Oooh...
Eah!
[Verse 1:]
Baby girl, where you at?
Got no strings, got men attached
Can't stop that feelin' for long no
Mmmm
You makin' dogs wanna beg
Breaking them off your fancy legs
But they make you feel right at home, now
[Hook 1:]
(Ooooh)
See all these illusions just take us too long
(Ooooh) And I want it bad..
Because you walk pretty,
Because you talk pretty,
'Cause you make me sick
And I'm not leavin', till you're leavin'
[Hook 2:]
(Ahhh)
Oh I swear there's something when she's pumpin',
Asking for a raise
(Oooh) Well does she want me to carry her home now?
(Oooh) So does she want me to buy her things?
On my house, on my job
On my loot, shoes, my shirt,
My crew, my mind, my father's last name?
[Chorus:]
(Ahhh)
When I get you alone ('lone)
When I get you you'll know baby (know)
When I get you alone ('lone)
When I get you alone now (it's all mine)
(Ahhhh....oh)
Come on
Oh yeah-yeah
[Verse 2:]
Baby girl you da shit
That makes you my equivalent
Well you can keep your toys in the drawer tonight,
All right
All my dawgs talkin' fast-
Aint you got some photographs?
'Cause you shook that room like a star, now
Yes you did, oh
[Hook 1:]
(Ooooh)
All these intrusions just take us too long
(Ooooh) And I want you so bad..
Because you walk city,
Because you talk city,
'Cause you make me sick
And I'm not leavin', till you're leavin'
[Hook 2:]
(Ahhh)
So I pray to something she aint bluffin',
Rubbin' up on me
(Oooh) Well does she want me to make a vow?
Check it
(Oooh)Well does she want me to make it now?
On my house, on my job
On my loot, shoes, my voice,
My crew, my mind, my father's last name?
[Chorus:]
(Ahhh)
When I get you alone ('lone)
When I get you you'll know baby (know)
When I get you alone ('lone)
When I get you aloooonnnnne
Yeah
Yeaaahhh...
The Dalton Warblers with Blaine (Darren Criss) at the forefront are amazing! (Needless to say that I have a little crush on Darren Criss :P) They make each episode that much better with every song they sing! It makes me feel sort of guilty for rooting for these guys even though they're the competition...Eah!

It's impressive that some of their songs are even better than the original: i.e. Katy Perry's Teenage Dream:
And yes, I did catch up with glee, and the songs, more than anything else, were beyond belief good. The show has upped the ante in terms of their performances which have gotten more and more extravagant (for example, the mash-up of Thriller and Heads will Roll) which is a good thing... for now. I just hope the plot doesn't suffer as a result.
For now, I have only good things to say for glee~
:)
PS: You should check out both the original songs: "Bills Bills Bills" and "When I get you Alone". They're really good and the glee versions are admirable tributes to them.

Secret Obsession of mine lately that comes and goes...
I know these songs are overplayed like crazy... and I don't really like or endorse the content of Lady Gaga's songs (obsessive, unhealthy relationships, fame whoring, rather uncreative, repetitive lyrics), BUT her music videos for Bad Romance and Paparazzi are pretty good, in my humble opinion. No gimmicks, no sugar-coating, she portrays the ugly side of the entertainment industry and how preposterous it can be, whether she meant to or not. After all, who would aspire to be sold off as a sex slave or be stuck in an abusive, exploitative relationship? Not that these things are limited to and happen in a large scale only in the entertainment industry, per se. But the symbolism and the images used are striking and not entirely irrelevant to fame and the certain life one must have (or give up) for wealth and celebrity in today's society. (Perhaps I'm giving too much credit to Lady Gaga and not enough to the the producers, concept designers and directors of her music videos. If that's the case, then I give props to the production team responsible for the music videos, as well). Now, I'm not saying that Lady Gaga is a paragon of truth out to expose the shallow materialism and ridiculous standards/exceptions we (and society) accept and expect of in people of celebrity. But she is setting a new standard different from pop icons before her. Whatever her motives or may be, though, purely from an artist's standpoint, Lady Gaga is unique, innovative, and, believe it or not, talented. Her voice, as much as her style of fashion is bizarre, is powerful. It's too bad that her more popular songs don't showcase her vocal prowess enough.
If you don't believe me, check this out. Her performance is pretty good:
Giving an acoustic live performance while playing the piano with an orchestral chamber group = my newfound respect for Lady Gaga's hidden musical talents.
Listening to this, I actually prefer her slower songs. Including this one too:
That post turned out pretty long, much longer than I expected... who knew that my longest post yet for this blog would be about Lady Gaga! :D
Anyways,
I hoped you enjoyed my short rant/analysis (with some unexpected admiration too) about Lady Gaga.
